is it gold? that’s a soft metal and since it’s expensive it’s often made very thin. a jeweler can repair it. if it’s not gold maybe get a thicker one or try a box link chain, they are the strongest. figaro is nice too. silver is nice and a thick one is affordable (get rhodium plating to prevent tarnishing). there are some nice gold-plated ones now too that are better quality than the older ones and won’t turn. be careful when pulling shirts on, brushing hair, etc. that it doesn’t get caught and pull.
